Dietary Supplements and Herbal Remedies
Below you will receive explanations for the most important means against viruses that you can apply yourself.

My family and I take some of these supplements on a regular basis to protect ourselves from illnesses, but also to be more efficient in everyday life. We haven't been really sick for a few years and some colds we have had only lasted a few days. This also applies to our children, who are exposed to many viruses in daycare and school. Of course, this also has to do with our eating habits and the remedies we take in acute cases (see also newsletter 2 and 3).
Please remember to get some fresh air often! This is good for your body and soul. You don't have to go jogging – a brisk walk or walking with sticks is also very effective and of course a meditative walk is extremely beneficial. It lifts your mood and strengthens your immune system.
Did you know that the air in the forest is fresher and even more rejuvenating for the body?
Isn't it marvellous how this fruit looks like a universe? Equally marvellous is its healthy effect on our physique and psyche.
Which remedies can you use preventively or in case of a virus attack?
The use of the following remedies can tremendously alleviate the symptoms of an infection and shorten their duration. Used preventively, they can help avoid an infection. It makes a lot of sense to use some of these remedies preventively and have a selection of them at home.
In the first newsletter and in the blog “Fighting Viruses Successfully and Naturally”, I presented the “Anti-Virus-Package” - a selection of products that fight viruses.
Antiviral supplements
The supplements 1 to 9 should be used preventively - at least in phase-wise, especially if your diet is not vegan, contains a lot of grain and too little fresh food. Supplements 10 to 13 will also help in acute cases.
1. Zinc sulfate (liquid is better)
Zinc is our immune system's most important weapon. Nowadays it is no longer found in sufficient quantities in natural sources. Regular application is therefore recommended.
2. Vitamin C (as Ester C or fortified)
Vitamin C is extremely important. If your diet regularly contains a lot of vitamin C, you only need additional vitamin C in acute cases.
3. Vitamin B12 (as adenosylcobalamin with methylcobalamin)
Mixed food enthusiasts can also have too little B12. Blood tests can often not correctly measure the effective B12 content in the body (only a hair analysis can do the job properly). Preventive supplementation is therefore recommended.
4. Lemon balm (as a non-alcoholic tincture)
A panacea, calming for nerves and digestion, antiviral, antiparasitic, antibacterial and detoxifying. If you drink lemon balm tea regularly, you only need the tincture in acute cases.
5. Cat's Claw (shrub bark, as non-alcoholic tincture, capsules, powder)
It's antiviral, like antibiotics, works against many symptoms. Also available as bark chips for tea. If you drink Cat's Clawtea 3 to 4 times a week, the tincture is only needed in acute cases.
6. Chaga mushroom (capsules, tea or as a coffee substitute)
Strengthens the immune system and increases the number of white blood cells. Decimates viruses and expels them from the liver and thyroid.
7. Nanosilver (as a highly concentrated, bioactive silver hydrosol)
Antiviral, preventive and therapeutic.
8. L-lysine (amino acid)
Inhibits and decimates viruses. Strengthens the liver's immune system. Works well preventively against fever blisters.
9. MSM (methylsulfonylmethane)
Conducts fat from the liver and protects it from viruses and bacteria, detoxifies and strengthens the liver, cleanses the gallbladder from deposits. Preemptively application for at least 21 days, 3 to 4 times a year is advisable.
10. Mullein (as a non-alcoholic tincture)
Protects against viral infections. Antibacterial, reduces inflammation, dissolves mucus in the liver.
11. Canadian turmeric (as a non-alcoholic tincture, more in acute cases)
Antiviral, strengthens lymphocytes which protect the ears, throat, nose and lungs. Reduces inflammation, also for digestive problems, whooping cough, etc.
12. NAC (N-acetylcysteine, rather for severe, persistent complaints)
Neutralizes pollutants, supports the respiratory tract, strengthens the liver, immune system etc., stimulates the production of glutathione, our most important endogenous antioxidant in the fight against viruses.
13. ALA (alpha lipoic acid, rather for severe, persistent symptoms)
Antioxidant, reduces oxidative stress in cells, supports the liver in self-detoxification.
